Soaking wet ink breaks your heart in two.
Reflections of humanity, please know I see you.

I can only be me, my angst and my pain.
They float on the backs of pristine pastel rain.
A contradiction of dark shadows, crystalline light.
I roam inky forests, my soul drowning by night.
I call into chambers, silent emptiness bites.
We all make choices, sometimes paying the price.
My ignorance weeps, faithless tears stain my face.
Deep inner chambers house God's divine grace.
It does not matter what you think of me.
It is self-compassion that will rescue me.

I wish I had met you so long ago.
Life was much easier, soft winds silky snow.
Gift me a song, I can wear on my heart.
A precious rare diamond, your words sculpted art.
You dive into my darkest of pain.
You have no fears; your love never tame.
Your name is carved within caverns of my soul.
May I gaze into your eyes, when we grow very old?
